Community Development

The firm views the making of architecture by itself as a socio-economic tool with interests focused more on the process of construction and production of built environment than on the final product. Through this attention on process rather than product, the firm has introduced Jordan’s first examples of intentionally- designed labor-intensive projects in which the cost of labor is maximized – by design – to incorporate a socio-economic agenda beneficial to the local community.

Crafts as a Development Tool

Using its knowledge in the fields of anthropology, archaeology and natural heritage, the firm has worked on designing new craft projects that are on the cutting edge as far as the idea of Total Landscape Management.
