This site aims to clarify the physical context of the Nazareth Mosque project, and to present the Urban fabric and history of a building that created international alarm and dispute.

The majority of internet sites cover this issue without the showing any plans, photographs, or drawings and thus often present a misleading

linguistic description. In most statements by church leaders, the Mosque is described as if in the premises of the church or right in front of it's entrance. Facts showing the situation on the ground are greatly needed.

This web site has been prepared by architect Ammar Khammash, to show the mosque design that has won the international competition, and the architectural and urban concerns of this location within the historical core of old Nazareth.
