Khammash Architects were part of an international team responsible for developing a detailed master plan and a development strategy for the Jabal Ajloun area. Located within a one-hour drive north of Amman, Jabal Ajloun is a mountainous area that is, for the most part, forestry and olive groves with many towns and villages dotting the hilltops and hillsides.

The project aims through the master plan to preserve areas of natural and cultural importance, and to improve the livelihoods in Ajloun through diversifying the economy of the area and promoting opportunities for investment. This includes building competitive products in hospitality services, health and wellness, specialty education, as well as niche agriculture.
